The 70th Birthday celebration of Pa Oyesanya, Emmanuel Tunde was held at the famous CMS grammer School, Bariga on sunday 8th July 2012. In attendance was the current chairman of lagos Football Referees Society mr. Ileogben, John others include a former chairman Alh. Kazzim, the State Welfare Officer mr. Mutiu Faro, other members that graced the occassion were Abdul-Rahman Faro, Funsho Shoyele, Lillian Anele and not forgeting the Secretary Efonema Ikpe. The Lagos state Football Referees Council was ably represented by Mr. Mutiu Faro who later made a cash presentation to the celebrant.

New Officers for Lagos State Football Referees Council has been sworn-in. Among the Officers sworn -in at the State Trie-ennial Delegates Conference (TDC)held on sat.22nd January 2011 are two members of Lagos Football Referees Society

Two recently elected Officers of the Society Mr. John Ileogben (Chairma) and Mr. Efonema Ikpe (Secretary) will be attending the Trie-ennial Delegates Conference of Lagos State Football Referees Council to elect officers for the State EXCO.

REFEREES ELECT OFFICERS

The Chairman elect of Lagos Football Referees Society Mr. John Ileogben has appeal for co-operation from members and promise not to let the Society down. He made this declaration in his acceptance speech at the just concluded Trie-ennial Delegates Conference (TDC) of the Society held on Sat. 15th January 2011 at the National Institute for Sports, Surulere. Lagos.
Other Officers elected to run the affairs of the Society for the next three years are: Olatunji Oyadina - Vice Chairman I, Abayomi Idris - Vice Chairman II, Efonema Ikpe – Secretary, Austin Ohaekelem – Treasurer, Bamidele Adeyeye – Fin. Sec. Solomon Basahuwa – Training Officer, Olayinka Olajide – Asst. Training Officer, Funsho Shoyele – Welfare Officer, and Bayo Moronkeji – Publicity Secretary.
The election which was conducted in accordance with the NRA guidelines was ably supervised by the State Council General Secretary (Moses Adebanjo) representing the NRA.
Several Football dignitaries were in attendance among whom were Dotun Coker member newly inaugurated Lagos State FA Board/Chairman LDFA, Chairman and Secretary Shomolu Football Referees Society Mr. Ayejusunle and Nathaniel Diyoke respectively.

NEW DATE FOR EXAM CANDIDATES

Please be informed that the NRA has given approval for re-take of promotion examinations for candidates who sat for 2009 exams. Intensive lectures will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays while Sat 6th March is the new date has approved by the State Referees Council at the meeting held on Thur. 18th Feb 2010. Also the Monthly Joint Training will be held in Ikorodu (Oriwu College, Ikorodu)starting 7.30am. All members are adviced to be present.
